175 g butter or margarine
275 g of demerara brown sugar
4 tablespoons of water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
400 g oatmeal
140 g of wheat flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Prepare two baking sheets and put them in baking paper.
Pour the sugar into a large bowl and add the butter. Blend to a smooth mass.
Punch an egg, add water and vanilla. Mix again.
Pour oatmeal, flour, salt and baking soda into the other bowl. Mix well.
Put into a bowl with mixed mass and mix thoroughly.
Take a spoon on a baking tray, forming small cookies. Keep spacing, because during baking they increase their volume almost twice.
Put in a preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
After baking, remove and let it cool down completely.
Note: After removing from the oven, do not take off the tin immediately, because the cakes are very fragile. It is only after hardening that they harden and are easy to take off and put together.
